Range Clean Up Day

WHO: All ESC club members, friends, and family are welcome. 

WHEN:  Saturday, April 29th, 2017 

TIMES:

Gates open at 8am

12:00PM - Lunch

ENDS: Expected to be done around noon.

 

4H Outdoor Match at ESC

4H completes their shooting year with this outdoor event in May each Year.

 

WHO: 4H shooting club. Observers welcome but they must not interfere with any part of the match.

WHEN: Saturday, May 13th, 2017

TIMES:
Gates Open at 8 AM
8:00 - 8:40 Registration
8:40 - Match Briefing
9 AM - Match begins

12:30PM - Lunch
ENDS: Expected to be done around noon.

NOTE: Range may open late to the Public. Match is not expected to end any later than 12:30 and may be done sooner.

 

Fallen Hero Memorial Shoot

WHEN:  Saturday, May 20st, 2017  (3rd Saturday of May every year)

TIMES:
Gates Open at 8 AM
8:00 - 8:40 Registration
8:40 - Match Briefing
9 AM - Match begins

ENDS: Expected to be done around noon. Actual end time depends on number of shooters.

 

COSTS: Entrance Fee of $15 for members or juniors, $20 for non-members.
Lunch is provided and included in your entrance fee.

 

FIREARMS ALLOWED: Any USA or Allied Battle rifles. I.E. any rifle normally distributed to allied troops.

(Allied forces include the US and its allies in world War II)
Open to firearms of any age both historic and modern. Including 1903 Springfield, M1, Garands, AR10/15, M1 Carbines, Ross, or any American, British, Canadian, Australian, or other allies rifles.
While not required we ask that all rifles be as issued or as close as possible, in the spirit of friendly competition!
60 rounds of standard ammunition for rifle of your choice and shooting gear, including mats, are the responsibility of each shooter.

Targets are provided by the Club.

 

MATCH RULES:
This is a NRA Modified CMP Match.

Match includes standing, sitting, and prone positions. Match is modified in such a way that all shooters are allowed to get into shooting position and load their firearm before the timer starts. All shooters will be given 60 seconds to fire each string of rounds.
(For those interested, a regulation match rules require all shooters to start from a standing position and then assume firing stance, load, and fire within 60 seconds.)

 

PRIZES:
There will be a prize for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and it is a competitive shoot.
But our goal is for this to be a fun shoot for all.

WHEN:  Saturday, June 10th, 2017

RANGE CLOSED to PUBLIC SHOOTING outside of the morning match.
Prospective members welcome.

All club members, families, and the families of the 4H shooters are encouraged to come. Potential members are welcome as well!

 

TIMES:
Gates open at 8am
8:00 - 8:40 Registration
8:40 - Match Briefing
Active shooting begins at 9 AM (We need 30 carbines for 4H to shoot!)
Shooting Ends at Noon
Noon to 2PM Lunch/Fellowship!
2 PM 4H yearly awards ceremony and trophy presentations
Noon to ? - ESC Club Swap Meet

 

COSTS:
$3 to shoot (ammo cost)

Targets provided by the Club

 

Activities Inlcuded:
Tomahawk throw (Behind Shotgun area), Rimfire Pistol, 30 carbine for youth and adult. 30 carbines provided by 4H club and others.

 

MATCH RULES:
Adults compete amoungst themselves
Kids compete amoungst themselves
This is fun shoot so don't take it too seriously!

 

PRIZES: White elephant awards!

 

SWAP MEET:
Have something to give away, sell, whatever, bring it! No firearm sales.

RSO Training Class

COURSE INSTRUCTOR: Joe Martin, CRSO

 

WHO: Any ESC member who would like to volunteer as an RSO at the range

 

WHEN: November 4, 2017

 

TIME AND LOCATION:
7:30am - 4:30pm

 

COSTS:
~$75-100

 

ACTIVITIES INCLUDED:
To become RSO certified with the NRA, you must complete this course. This includes classroom instruction and some practical application (no handling of firearms during this course). In addition, there will be a graded quiz at the end to qualify for NRA certification.
